Sustainability at the heart of our Company.
Preservation of the environment remains to be at the centre of our business ethic and we continue to invest in ways to minimise the environmental impact of our operations, through many types of initiatives including using recyclable materials and working alongside the Irish Tree Council and the charity 'Save the Rhino International'.
Additionally we have Swan label certification which is widely recognised throughout Europe and all Victor's paper is processed using water based inks. The Swan's mission is to contribute to reducing the consumer burden on the environment using optical ecolabelling, guiding consumers and purchasers in their desire to shop with a 'green' conscience and thus contribute to a better society. The Swan takes into consideration the product's impact on the environment from raw materials to waste. It sets criteria with regard to quality and performance and aims to ensure that a Swan labelled product is always at the cutting edge from an environmental point of view.
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international, non governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world's forests. FSC certified products can be traced back to the wood and wood based products from well managed forests. Forested are managed to the highest environmental, social and economic standards. Trees harvested are replanted or allowed to regenerate naturally. FSC ensures respect for the environment, the wildlife and the people who live and work in them. It gives an assurance that future generations will be able to enjoy the benefits of the forest.
PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is an independent, non-profit, non-government organisation, founded in 1999 which promotes sustainable managed forests through independent third party certification. It provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests. It's mission is to give society confidence that people manage forests sustainably. It's purpose, through the endorsement of national certification systems, motivates and enables people to sustainably manage their forests and works to provide a market for the products of those forests. It communicates the economic benefits of sustainable forest management and provides a positive contribution towards mitigating the effects of climate change.
